DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE ACTION PLANS - NEW

Developing Effective Action Plans - NEW

This session will provide valuable guidance in how to prepare a high quality and effective Action Plan for your local council.

 These plans can present an important tool to help your council accomplish its aims and turn visions or strategies into actionable goals and steps (for any time period; from one to five years).

 Developing a plan clarifies key elements such as;

  • Goals to be achieved
  • Priority tasks
  • Personnel involved
  • Relevant stakeholders
  • Milestones and Timescales
  • Resources and budget required

The session will look at successful case studies and formats from around the country – including business plans. It will examine the essential role that strategic planning play in helping Town and Parish Councils produce operational action plans. The review of best practice will also demonstrate how councils can achieve positive two-way community engagement; while establishing a public plan to demonstrate its goals, workload and budget expenditure.
