WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY FOR PARISH AND TOWN COUNCILS

Website Accessibility for Parish and Town Councils

Town and parish councils need to meet the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations which came into force on 23rd September 2018. The purpose of the Regulations is to improve the accessibility of public sector websites/mobile apps so that they can be used by as many people as possible.

This training session will:

  • help you understand visual impairment and how that affects people using your website.
  • take you through the basics of making websites more accessible
  • explain simple alterations you can make to writing content for your council website
