This 90 minute session will give attendees a comprehensive review of both the practical and legal considerations for their Council in recruiting staff, and ensuring that they are able to retain recruits, including.

  • Addressing issues of poor recruitment and understanding why some staff don’t stay.
  • Understanding the role of Councilors in recruiting staff.
  • Conducting a successful recruitment exercise.
  • The legal requirements of inductions.
  • Producing legal Employment contracts that suit the needs of the Council.
