Communications and Operations Officer
Hours: 25–30 per week | Salary: £17.18/hr (SCP21) £33,143 FTE
Location: Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington OX5 1AB

The Role
Kidlington Parish Council is looking for a proactive Communications and Operations Officer to join our friendly team. You will manage communications, support community engagement, provide office and administrative support, and assist with Council events. This is an ideal role for someone organised, confident with digital tools, and passionate about serving the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Update the Council website and social media channels.
Produce newsletters, press releases, and public notices.
Handle public enquiries and provide front-office cover.
Support office administration, room bookings, and record-keeping.
Assist with planning and delivering community events.
Person Specification
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with websites, social media, or digital communications.
Organised, able to manage multiple tasks.
Confident and approachable with the public.
Experience in community work or events is desirable.
Additional Info Some evening or weekend work may be required (TOIL provided). Training and development will be offered.
